Black Women Owned 2020

Black Women Owned Companies We Love

When looking at racial disparities amongst women owned businesses, in 2019, minority-owned businesses averaged $65,800 of revenue compared to non-minority women-owned businesses averaging $218,800. Specifically, for Black women owned businesses, these numbers suffer even greater disparity with average revenue $24,000 per firm vs. $142,900 among all women-owned businesses. Through our work at Ladies Who Launch, we actively seek to change the statistics that show women are at a disadvantage when starting and growing their businesses.

In addition to the Launch Program (2020 Applications now closed), one of the major ways we can support Black women-owned businesses is with our spending power. We have compiled a list of our favorite businesses that we know you’ll love!

Take a read, please share with your networks, and let’s keep the list going. Have a favorite Black women-run business that you’d like to share? Tag LWLGlobal and use the hashtag #LWLGuide so we can spotlight them as well!
