Lauren Uppington

Executive Vice President, Consumables, Walmart U.S.

 
 

As Vice President Omni Merchandising of Baby Hardlines, Lauren is responsible for the baby gear, toys, and nursery categories for Walmart stores and walmart.com.  Lauren brings her myriad experiences in Marketing, eCommerce, and Merchandising to her role. Lauren is passionate about building and leading high-performing teams and actively mentors to develop “merchants of the future,” emphasizing the broad general management skills needed to run omni channel businesses.  

Lauren joined Walmart in May 2018 after a wide range of executive positions in E-commerce, Marketing, and Merchandising.  Most recently, she was the Head of Global Marketing at Stella & Dot.  

Lauren was a co-founder of fabkids.com, a digitally-native children's clothing company where she built the merchandising and product development organization.  When the company was acquired by TechStyle Fashion Group Lauren became GM of the Fabkids business. After leading the brand through the acquisition and early growth stages, Lauren stepped in as CMO of JustFab and ShoeDazzle.Prior to starting FabKids, Lauren was VP Merchandising and E-Commerce at Tea Collection, a children's apparel company.  Lauren spent 7 years at Gap Inc., where she served in a variety of merchandising and strategy roles. She started her career as a consultant at Bain & Company and received her MBA at Harvard Business School and BA at Dartmouth College.

Lauren lives in San Francisco Bay area with her husband and college sweetheart, Will, their three children (ages 15, 12, and 7), and two Goldendoodles.
