Katya Libin, Founder of HeyMama
HeyMama is the most badass league of mom-bosses you know. Whether they are advisors, executives, founders, or CEOs, our application-based membership provides support, connection, and collaboration for working mothers at every life stage.
The Challenge: 75% of expecting mothers say that they are excited to go back to work after giving birth, yet 43% of them end up leaving the workforce. This comes at a high cost to their careers, the companies they worked for, and the business landscape at large.
The Solution: HeyMama seeks to build an ecosystem of working mothers who collaborate and empower one another to become the decision-makers around their work, life and family.
HeyMama began when founders Amri Kibbler and Katya Libin set out to create what was missing in their own lives: a community of career-driven mothers who have each others’ backs and actively seek to improve their lives and the lives of those around them. As moms who wanted to talk about diapers and deals in the same place, a network with a focus on propelling their personal and professional growth seemed paramount. Everyday, they see how having a solid community helps moms feel more fulfilled, and impacts their bottom line.
They hope to build a global village for these mothers to connect and collaborate so join them on May 9th to celebrate Mother’s Day, as they are teaming up with Band of Mothers Media to present a FREE online charity show featuring a one-of-a-kind digital performance from The Pump and Dump Show, a hilarious nationally-touring comedy show just for moms. One hour of comedy, music, games, prizes, and surprises to raise money for a great cause that supports mothers.
